Wolf/Primitai – The Underworld, London – 8/2/15


As I wait outside Camden Underworld to review and photograph Primitai, I notice in the back of my interview book I had written “Primitai, wish I had heard more” from when I first caught them supporting Edguy, thankfully I have got to see them a few times since and was looking forward to tonight’s supportAs I wait outside Camden Underworld to review and photograph Primitai, I notice in the back of my interview book I had written “Primitai, wish I had heard more” from when I first caught them supporting Edguy, thankfully I have got to see them a few times since and was looking forward to tonight’s support slot. Primitai very quickly won over tonight’s audience. I was instantly impressed by new guitarist Sergio Pedro Girón (the first time I have seen him) whose quality playing perfectly mirrors that of Srdjan Bilic when they do one of their beautiful guitar duets, which are complimentary to Guy Miller’s vocal tone and are the stand out part of tonight’s set. There appears to be a fatherly affinity with Sergio already from vocalist Guy, just giving him some reassurance as he settles into Primitai life. The Line of Fire’ goes down a storm with those already affiliated with Primitai and certainly wins them some new fans tonight. The fast paced ‘Sin City’ gets the fists in the air in this part of the city of London that is filled with more sinners than there have been members of Deep Purple! A perfect time to go metal […]
