Johnson went on to collaborate with the likes of Stevie Nicks, Ted Nugent and Queensrÿche, before joining Alice Cooper’s band as lead guitarist. The Amorettes – Drop Video for New Single ‘Whatever Gets You Through the Night’

THE AMORETTES

Scots Rockers, THE AMORETTES, release their brand new video for “Whatever Gets You Through The Night” today

Taken from their Top 40 album, Born To Break, the accompanying lyric video encompasses shots of the band doing what they do best; playing live in front of an audience, with the pictures representing their continued European onslaught. All pictures courtesy of Geordy Van Velzen/Photography Fidelis and Marty Moffatt.

“Whatever Gets You Through The Night” is a song about just letting go, and being yourself.͟ Says Guitarist/Vocalist, and principle songwriter, Gill Montgomery “We are hoping it strikes a chord with listeners, and that it can relate to their individual experiences, and they can use it as an anthem to help celebrate how they live their own lives”

With the release of Born To BreakTHE AMORETTES have continued to demonstrate a considerable growth in both musicianship, and song writing, with Montgomery penning some of her most diverse material to date. “͞This is definitely a departure from our heavier catalogue,” she continues, ͞“However, I still feel that it encompasses the full Amorettes vibe.͟” And, as with the majority of Montgomery’s songs, it comes with a simple message for those who feel they may not fit in with the majority; “͞Haters are gonna hate! So, just get over it, and let your own little freaky flag fly”

The album “Born To Break” was produced by Luke Morley of UK Arena Rockers THUNDER and recorded and mixed by Nick Brine (The Darkness, Bruce Springsteen etc..) and was released in April through SPV/Steamhammer as CD digipak, 2LP gatefold coloured version, download and stream. Hardcore Superstar – Announce New Album “You Can’t Kill My Rock ‘n’ Roll”

YOU CAN’T KILL MY ROCK ‘N ROLL
New album from Hardcore Superstar out September 21st 2018!

“You Can’t Kill My Rock ‘N Roll” is the 11th album from Gothenburg’s HARDCORE SUPERSTAR, consisting of 12 ear splitting anthems that drive home the fact that Rock isn’t dead, it is in fact alive and well and thriving in Sweden.

Recorded throughout 2017 and early 2018 at the beautiful Österlyckan (Wooden Hybrid) Studiosnear Gothenburg, the album was produced by the band themselves and mixed in Stockholmby Dino Medanhodzic.

Celebrated worldwide for their explosive and uplifting live performances that are bursting with integrity and passion, HARDCORE SUPERSTAR have managed to somehow harness and capture all that passion and raw energy and translate it into the 12 songs that make up “You Can’t Kill My Rock ‘N Roll”. This is a huge sounding album on all levels, overflowing with sure fire hits and guaranteed future fan favourites.

The albums first single “Have Mercy On Me” was released to great critical acclaim at the end of 2017 and quickly became play listed on radio stations all over the UK, Europe and their native Scandinavia, making it a runaway success. The following singles “Bring The House Down”, “Electric Rider” and “Baboon” have built enormously on this success, creating massive amounts of excitement and anticipation amongst the fans and media in preparation for the albums release on September 21st 2018. Further singles are also planned to coincide with the bands ambitious World Tour that will see them playing to audiences far and wide throughout all of 2018/19.

Its safe to say You Can’t Kill My Rock ‘N Roll is an unapologetically confident and assured album full of big hooks, attitude and aggression that doesn’t let up from the moment the opening track “ADHD” kicks in all the way through to the closing track “Goodbye” with the title track being an uplifting, rallying call to arms for all fans of Rock music to stand proud, united in the celebration of who we are and the music we love. The message very much setting the tone for the album as a whole.

All the elements that that make up a great HARDCORE SUPERSTAR album are here in abundance. At its core there is the great song writing and big choruses that are synonymous with every HARDCORE SUPERSTAR release, however each song stands on its own as well as complementing the album as a whole, taking the listener through a rollercoaster of snarling riffs, heavy bass lines and relentlessly driving drums, all of which are intertwined with enslaving melodies and Jocke’s unmistakeable vocals.
It’s safe to say, “You Can’t Kill My Rock N Roll” isn’t just the bands finest album to date, but it could quite easily also be their most career defining.

In a world where music legends are claiming ‘Rock is Dead’ and the music buying population are being force fed manufactured TV show wannabes, HARDCORE SUPERSTAR stand defiant with the most hard hitting album of their career
“You Can’t Kill My Rock ‘N Roll”

You Can’t Kill My Rock ‘N Roll” isn’t just a statement of confrontation and rebellion, it’s a celebration of everything we love, the music, the lifestyle, this is our religion, it’s our choice, and it’s everything we believe in

The Quireboys – Chester Live Rooms, 06/03/2015

It was a high energy show as always but their latest UK tour is an acoustic affair minus Dave Mc’ Cluskey on drums and Nick Mailing on bass guitar but the Live Rooms gig last Friday was no less intense as the frantic four of Spike Gray, Keith Weir, Guy Griffin and Paul Guerin wowed the full room. On entry it was a nice surprise to see Spike by the merchandise table greeting the fans as we walked in, and, as usual he was his usual charming, inebriated self. The two acoustic solo support slots were taken up by the very well received Joseph Leo and Alx Green. The guitar technique of Alx had to be seen to believed! So it was time for the main band who just strolled on. All apart from Spike sat down on their stools who only noticed after the third song that he had one when he said he was “Fucking knackered already!”. ‘There She Goes Again’ was the perfect opener to get the crowd in fine voice followed by Spike starting a mass Happy Birthday sing […]

Made up of only four tracks, but the guys of Afterlife have packed into this CD a brilliant showcase of the differing styles of rock they are the masters of (really)! The first song on the E.P. is ‘ Masters Of Reality ‘ taken from the recently released Omega album. Full with the heavy riffs that are the trademark of Afterlife, this song seems to speak about the power the few have over what the majority the masses hear, see and are allowed to think! There’s a lot of complicated guitar and drum work going on here, but it’s all made to sound so easy which just shows how pro these guys really are. After seeing them play live in Nottingham (Rock City) last year, you too should really make the effort to go and see them play live. They will not disappoint!!!! Get ready and turn up the volume on this the second song called ‘300‘. Starting off with the speech by King Leonidas, who leads 300 Spartans into battle against the Persian ‘god-king’ Xerxes. It captures the whole […]
