Having unfortunately missed Psycho Kiss – who, by all accounts got the afternoon off to a suitably rambunctious start – Tainted Nation hit us up hard and heavy, with big riffs and even bigger melodies, coupled with great vocal harmonies, the latter led by frontman Pete Newdeck (pictured right), who exudes an easy confidence throughout their set. The rhythm section of bassist Pontus Egberg and drummer Mark Cross are provide the sort of concrete solid foundation you would expect from musicians of this calibre, underpinning an energetic, passionate and powerful performance. Tigertailz replace CrashDiet at HRH AOR


Welsh glam legends Tigertailz have replaced CrashDiet on the bill at next month’s HRH AOR, after the Swedish sleaze rockers were forced to pull out. PlanetMosh’s favourite new kids on the block, StOp sToP have also been added to the event’s Sleaze stage.

While it had been widely reported for several weeks that CrashDiet were not appearing, an official statement posted on the HRH Facebook page earlier today said: “Just to put some clarity to the recent rumours, CrashDiet will not be performing at HRH United or in the near future due to one of its band members being considerably ill. It’s a shame, as we were all up for it, but we are only human and sometimes these things happen, however once they are fit and back up and running, well get them back in.” A statement from the band added: “Its with a lot of regret that CrashDiet have had to cancel Hard Rock Hell United due to health issues with one of the band members. HRH AOR 3 announces more bands including the welcome return of excellent Swedish rockers H.E.A.T, who seem to be going from strength to strength at the moment with the release of their new album ‘Tearing Down The Walls’.

New Device were first up. The British band lost their guitarist just a few days earlier and did well to get a replacement rehearsed and able to play a gig in front of a large crowd. New guitarist James Arter did well and if you weren’t familiar with the band you wouldn’t have guessed heNew Device were first up. They put in a very good set and really did a good job of getting the crowd warmed up. New Devi ce Setlist: Here we stand On your knees Save your life Feel the wrath On fire Until the end Takin’ over Supercharger Supercharger took to the stage and asked if the crowd was ready for some Danish Boogie Woogie rock and roll, before kicking off a high energy rock and roll set. They released their latest album in January so unsurprisingly played some of the songs from it tonight, and I have to say the songs sounded great. Your new album, “Tearing down the walls” is due to be released in April. When did you startI spoke to Erik Grönwall and Eric Rivers from Swedish melodic rock band H.E.A.T at their hotel in London to talk to them about their forthcoming album “Tearing down the walls”, their tour plans, festival plans and more… Your new album, “Tearing down the walls” is due to be released in April. When did you start work on the album? Eric: I guess we started immediately after the release of our previous album, “Address the Nation”, so maybe 2012. Erik: Yeah we started writing songs back then. Eric: Then it took us a month in the studio, so in total one and a half years It’s a long process isnt it? Eric: It is, time flies. It’s something that people don’t see. They expect us to go into the studio, write the songs and do it all in a month. it takes time to write songs – we write all the time. Then of course once it’s re corded it has to be mixed and mastered, then there’s all the promo before the release. Eric: Exactly. Our part was done in August so we’ve been waiting since then.
